Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy Massage is a great way to decrease stress, reduce toxins and body aches / pains, while increasing circulation.

Why would a pre-natal women consider massage therapy?  Stress can lead to complications during pregnancy.  If a women  is experiencing allot of  stress during pregnancy, it can have an effect on your infant.  Circulation is also a concern, circulation is extremely important in nutrient and toxin exchange, and as your baby grows they slowly restrict circulation as they lay on your thoracic artery.  This restricted blood flow can lead to swelling in the legs and ankles, slowing the release of toxins.  When our body’s have a build up of toxins we often feel exhausted, our body’s ache and for some people they experience head aches.  Massage will help increase the circulation, helping to remove the toxins and bring fresh nutrients that your body needs.  By addressing Stress and Circulation we are able to help manage the normal aches and pains associated with pregnancy.

Many people ask how often should I get massage while I am pregnant?  I encourage women to receive massage as often as they can through out their pregnancy.  However always check with your doctor.  I feel that twice a month is a great way keep your body healthy.  If you feel good so should your baby.  Post-natal is also a great time to receive pregnancy massage!body-cushion-pregnancy.gif
